Campaign Unavailable We're sorry, this alert is no longer available. If you would like to learn more about ways you can take action, please visit Human Rights First. The short explanation of this alert was: The shocking photos from Abu Ghraib were just the tip of iceberg on torture. There are now hundreds of well-documented allegations of mistreatment of prisoners in U.S. custody. The abuse has been systematic - and can no longer be called the work of a few bad apples. The only way to make sure torture never happens again in America's name is to find out what has happened in the network of U.S. detention centers - and why. What's needed is for Congress to establish a bi-partisan, independent commission to investigate U.S. interrogation and detention policy. More and more Americans are echoing our call for an independent commission - Democrats and Republicans alike. This week Republican Senator Lindsey Graham of South Carolina joined the ranks of those calling on Congress to review issues related to prisoner abuse. Last week, Fox anchor Bill O'Reilly called for a commission. It is time to make sure America complies with its own laws on interrogation and detention. Ask members of Congress to launch an independent, bipartisan investigation and get to the bottom of the torture scandal. If you would like to view details on this alert, please visit here.
